Gun cases are bar none the best way to store, protect, transport and discreetly carry your gun from place to place. As you know, the gun community is pretty gun-ho, so to speak, about their vocation and the quality that’s pervasive in this world is pretty much world class.
If you look at Boyt gun cases, Plano gun cases, Pelican gun cases, SKB gun cases and basically any soft or hard case for shotguns, handguns and pistols (everything short of bazookas!), you’ll find the items are made from high-quality, durable materials that show respect for your gun as a prized possession and for you as a gun owner.
Now aside from the fact that a good case is an ideal storage device for your firearm, one other benefit that most people don’t consider is that it provides you with discretion when you’re transporting your gun or rifle around. Some people, whatever their reasons are, require some degree of stealth in the carrying around of their weapon.
Cases typically come in two flavors: hard cases and soft cases (although there are also tactical and custom cases). Brands like Allen, Doskocil, Kolpin and other top-notch producers come to mind. Often these will look a violin case or a briefcase or even a luggage case, depending on the size of your firearm.
There’s also generally a place to store ammo, cleaning equipment and other pertinent supplies for hunting, self-defense and what have you. Soft cases don’t really offer protection from theft but hard cases sometimes come with key locks or combination locks that are pretty hard to force open.
